Typhoon Franklin Updates Landslides of Hispaniola Midweek

The new tropical storm Franklin will bring heavy rains anding to parts of Hispaniola in the middle of the week.

The developing tropical system could bring us situations to some parts of the Dominican Republic due to heavy rains.

Based on the recommendation of the National Weather Service (NWS), tropical storm Franklin could cause us landslides and flashs. Tropical warnings are also present in the affected areas, especially in parts of the Caicos Islands and the Turks.

The weather forecast noted that the tropical wind could also trigger heavy rains in parts of Puerto Rico. Weather agencies are monitoring Franklin’s developments.

At least two people have disappeared due to the weather conditions. A victim has also been reported in the area.

Meanwhile, at least 280 people have been evacuated due to landslides anding.

The weather forecast in Haiti indicated that the country had a rainy outlook.

Residents of the affected areas are advised to monitor the forecasts, especially for people located near low-lying or-prone areas.

Tropical disturbances over the Atlantic
In addition, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) has reported three possible tropical disturbances that could probably develop in the Atlantic and the northwestern Caribbean.

In the central subtropical Atlantic, forecasts indicate that an area of low pressure is being traced in parts of the East-Southeast of Bermuda. The disturbance could lead to disorganized thunderstorms and showers.

Meanwhile, an area of low pressure has been discovered over the northwestern Caribbean Sea. The prognosis indicated that the disorder was moving slowly.

In addition, the low pressure will cause showers and thunderstorms in the eastern tropical Atlantic, especially in the Cape Verde Islands.

In the United States, weather forecasts have shown that tropical Storm Hilary will bring heavy rains anding to parts of Southern California.

Hilary became a hurricane, but was downgraded to a tropical storm.
